Giants safety Jevon Holland has had limited opportunities to face new quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in OTA practices this spring, but he has come away with a favorable impression, especially when it comes to their interactions with rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart.
When appearing on the “SiriusXM Blitz” show Monday, Holland was asked about the impact Wilson and Winston have had on the Giants since they arrived. Holland said the two have been very influential, especially to the younger players.
“Russ and Jameis are just two individuals who have had different paths in the league but have been in the league, been in different systems,” Holland said. “You can just tell a different level of poise and routine day in and day out. You see them doing the same thing pre-practice and the same thing post-practice.
“It’s like it almost looks like it’s second nature for those two, and I’m super excited for Jaxson because he has two extremely good vets and two individuals that speak life into everybody around them,” Holland continued. “You have to raise the youth, and I know those two individuals are going to raise Jaxson into a great quarterback.”
Holland, who signed a three-year, $45.3 million deal with the Giants after spending his first four seasons with the Miami Dolphins, said he has picked up a few things from them himself that he can carry into the regular season.
“Seeing Russ and Jameis in practice and going against them has been great for me because of their processes and what they’re trying to accomplish against the defense,” Holland said. “It’s allowed me to really pick their brain and ask them questions so I can also have some level of growth.”

The tulips at Holland Ridge Farms in Cream Ridge have become one of New Jersey’s most photographed spots in the spring. The farm itself is so popular, that it was recently named home to the best tulip festival in the country!
Beyond the whopping 8 million colorful tulips to take in, there are plenty of other things to keep you and your crew entertained during a visit, starting with opening day for the tulips on April 11 and Dutch Fest from April 17-20.
So what goes into transforming the 300+ acre farm into a dreamy spring scene of rainbow tulips straight out of Holland? “You would think an event of this size would take an army, but in reality, there’s less than 10 of us who work year-round to bring it all together,” says Patrick Marini, Holland Ridge’s creative manager.
Marini says bulbs are ordered during the summer for the following spring. “We make sure to only order the most colorful and most hardy varieties that will grow well out in the flower fields,” he says. “As soon as sunflower season ends, we start planting the millions of tulip bulbs. Over the winter they grow roots and form flower buds, while we start planning out new photo props and improvements to the farm and event. We love that we have so many returning visitors who make our tulip event their yearly family tradition.”
What’s New This Spring
There’s a new windmill on site that came straight from Holland, and you can celebrate its grand opening during Dutch Fest. It’s 100 feet tall, and is visible from the New Jersey Turnpike!
To keep it authentic, there will be a 15-piece brass band from the Netherlands, freshly-made stroopwafels and poffertjes, a selection of Dutch cheeses to taste and buy, floral-themed cocktails, photo props, pictures with Volendam ladies in their traditional outfits, and a tented picnic area with Dutch elements.
Marini says events are a natural next step, given what he calls an “incredible energy” at the farm. “In the Netherlands, they call it ‘gezellig.’ This loosely translates to being sociable, friendly and enjoying the company of others. It’s more of a feeling to describe the culture of Holland and Holland Ridge Farms.”
We know you’re planning your outfits for some sweet spring pictures, since the farm is a hotspot for photo shoots, from engagements and wedding pics to maternity and anniversary shots and beyond.
You can ride around the farm in a chauffeur-driven gator to get a more up-close-and-personal experience. Rentals are for up to four people, can be rented any day of the week, and cost $150 for 1 hour 45 minutes. Returning this year is a bus service from Port Authority in NYC to the farm on the weekends.
There are other perks the farm offers, too. You can order and ship tulip boxes across the country. There’s new merch this year, including tees, sweatshirts and hats to show off your “happy place.” And you can book an 8-day tour package to Holland through a partnership with Holland Ridge.
Here are a few things to know if you’re planning a visit to see the tulips:
U-pick tulip season will be in full bloom! Tickets are $20 per person and must be purchased online in advance. Dates run through May 4, and do include weekdays. Kids younger than 3 are free. Some activities have an additional fee. Flower picking is $1 per stem.
Plan to arrive on or as close to your arrival time as possible given the crowds. Visitors typically spend around 3 hours at the farm. Aside from the gorgeous photo ops, there will be food trucks, farm animals, a feeding zoo, a picnic area, pony rides, a tractor-pulled hayride, Dutch souvenirs, a bakery, a tulip planting museum, and of course, u-pick flowers. The farmers and makers markets will be set up every weekend. Dog & Ram Distillery will serve floral-themed cocktails on the weekends, in addition to mocktails and gourmet soda.
Wear comfy shoes since you’ll be doing lots of walking and if the kids have seasonal allergies, be sure to pack some extra tissues.
Come hungry. The bakery and gift shop will be open every day. A food truck calendar will be posted on the website so you know what types of food are in store for you.
Parking is free. There are multiple entrances and exits for visitors to enter the farm and checkout with their flowers. However, sometimes parking can be overwhelming so be prepared to wait for a spot.

Holland Ridge Farms opened in April 2018, just a year after Casey Jansen Sr., a Dutch immigrant, bought the farmland. Tens of thousands of people flocked to witness the unbelievable 150-acre tulip landscape back then, fulfilling the family's dreams of sharing their love for the spring blooms.

At Holland Ridge Farms, guests can pick flowers for $1 per stem on weekends and 50 cents on weekdays. The u-pick farm has grown tremendously since it opened, doubling to 300 acres when the Jansen family bought the farm next door in 2022.
Holland Ridge Farms hosts three annual events: Spring Spectacular in April, Fall Festival for sunflowers in September, and Winter Wonderland from November to January, when 30,000 illuminated tulips turn the farm into a magical place.
During these festivities, the Jansen family makes sure to incorporate traditional Dutch food, games, and other cultural activities along with a local artisan and farmers' market. Holland Ridge Farms also added a new working windmill this year, making it a whole immersive Dutch countryside experience.
The windmill opened in a grand ceremony on April 16, kicking off the 2025 Dutch Fest (April 17–April 20). Visitors are allowed to go inside the 100-foot-tall structure and view the colorful fields from its balcony.

Like Pella, Iowa, A.K.A. "America's Dutch treasure", Holland Ridge Farms has a deep-rooted Dutch heritage. The idea for the farm began in the Netherlands, more than a century ago. It's where Casey Sr. learned the art of growing and selling tulips from his father, the Great Opa Casey, who had mastered the trade.
Casey Sr. then taught his skills to Casey Jr. Now, the father-and-son duo operate the Holland Greenhouses together, a family-run wholesale tulip grower. The company was founded in 1964 when Casey. Sr. moved to the U.S.
The whole family was involved in transforming the former Rue Farm—a decades-old cow and dairy farm—into Holland Ridge Farms in 2017. They didn't think it would be a success the moment they opened in 2018. It inspired them to expand the u-pick business with the sunflower festival that same year.
Things To See & Do At Holland Ridge Farms, New Jersey
Holland Ridge Farms isn't limited to floral attractions. Aside from the fields of tulips in spring (sunflowers in the fall), another favorite on the farm is the feeding zoo, featuring adorable animals like alpacas, chickens, goats, mini-donkeys, pigs, sheep, and a calf named Bubbles.
Each ticket to the farm includes a variety of activities and attractions. You get access to food trucks, a farmers' and makers' market, live music, 25+ floral photo props, a souvenir shop, a tractor-pulled hayride shuttle, horse-pulled carriage rides, and even pony rides.
The picturesque farm undeniably goes beyond the emulation of old Holland. It also gives guests a unique, memorable adventure and a proper introduction to New Jersey's thriving agricultural beauty.
